Selvara Kain

Selvara Kain is an Eclipse Magister and Prince Caelum’s principal occult field commander encountered by the party. She understands the Court’s astronomical research, the Dawnshards, and Caelum’s theory that concentrated solar magic worsens the black-star threat. Unlike Valec, she consistently treats political control as secondary to the celestial crisis. She confronts the party beneath Lake Auriel, abandons Valec when the Sun Gate fails, reaches Solspire ahead of the heroes, and reveals Caelum’s identity and permanent-twilight strategy. The party defeats but spares her for her knowledge.

Selvara changes the Eclipse Court from a conventional conspiracy into an ideological opponent supported by real evidence. She is the first enemy to state that Valec is only a servant and the first to argue directly that restoring the Crown may be dangerous. Her interpretation is not presented as fact: at Solspire she admits the beacon theory rests on historical correlation and models rather than direct observation. As a captured expert, she gives the party access to the strongest established Eclipse case while remaining an adversary whose conclusions and methods they reject.
