Marshal Iren Tor

Iren Tor is a senior Dawnwatch Guard officer who remains loyal to Queen Maelin during Valec’s coup. When Voss is gravely wounded, Tor gathers surviving loyal units and prevents the command structure from collapsing. During the siege he coordinates conventional defenses while Voss returns in a limited role. The coup leaves Tor cautious about seals, rank, and unverified orders because each had been manipulated by Valec’s network.

Tor represents the operational Guard leadership needed while Voss and the party address extraordinary threats. He is responsible for gates, units, patrols, and verified chains of command rather than Voss’s personal relationship with the heroes. His presence keeps the defense of Dawnwatch from unrealistically depending on one captain. After the siege, he remains part of the work of distinguishing deliberate conspirators from officers who followed false orders.
