Nyra entered the campaign as a scholar fascinated by pre-dynastic magic and quickly became evidence in her own investigation. At Saint Orien an ancient ward rejected royal blood but named her heir of the Veiled Flame. Valec’s private genealogies later showed that other people had been tracing the same forgotten lineage through deliberately damaged records. At Ilyr, Nyra aligned Selvara’s chart with ancient observations and confirmed that the black star follows a genuine celestial cycle. When the Crown awakened, the Veiled Flame sigil appeared among structures responding across Aurelis. Her ancestry is therefore not a decorative mystery or accident of blood: it may connect her to another defense against the approaching threat. Nyra must learn what the Veiled Flame built, why Seraphine trusted its keepers more than her descendants, and whether those ancient structures are shields, warning beacons, or something capable of making the danger worse.

Nyra’s current story is to discover whether the Veiled Flame maintained a second defense, a warning network, or a system whose activation could be as dangerous as the Crown itself.
