Player Character
Mira Thorne
Ranger
Who They Are
Mira began the campaign with loyalty to the Greenward rather than Dawnwatch. Eclipse intimidation at Brighthollow made the conspiracy personal because ordinary settlements were paying for decisions made in distant halls. Highcourt then showed her how easily violence and coercion could hide behind ceremony. During Valec’s coup and the siege, Mira stopped acting only as the party’s scout: she identified enemy movement, rallied loyal archers, and brought Greenward Rangers into the capital’s defense. Watching ordinary Dawnwatch residents defend one another complicated her belief that the city was merely a remote center of power. Her conflict is now one of competing obligations. Every Ranger drawn east strengthens the capital while leaving communities like Brighthollow less protected. With Caelum approaching, Mira must decide whether defending Aurelis means strengthening the throne, strengthening the places beyond it, or finding a way to keep either from consuming the other.
Their Story
With Dawnwatch surviving and the black star confirmed, Mira’s problem is no longer whether the capital deserves help. Every Ranger and resource drawn east leaves the Greenward more exposed, while a celestial threat may make regional boundaries meaningless. She now has to decide how to defend Aurelis without allowing the needs of the throne to consume the places that taught her what protection means.
