The Older Defense

At Ilyr, Nyra confirmed the black star as astronomical fact and learned that the Crown was only one of several ancient responses. When the restored Crown awakened, she saw the Veiled Flame sigil threaded through multiple structures responding across Aurelis.

Her lineage is therefore connected to something larger than Seraphine’s secrecy. Nyra’s current story is to discover whether the Veiled Flame maintained a second defense, a warning network, or a system whose activation could be as dangerous as the Crown itself.
